Our Philosophy

VEER believes that all children deserve access to a quality early education and care. VEER is committed to the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of children instilling a love of learning and preparing them for school and life as caring, active members of their community.

  • Children sitting on a colorful carpet, playing with magnetic alphabet letters, spelling the word 'VIE' with some colorful letters scattered around.

    Play-Based, Hands-On Learning

VEER believes that all children deserve access to a high-quality, early education.  Preschool lays the foundation for a child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, preparing them for school and life beyond.  We are committed to instilling a love of learning and helping them become caring, active members of their community.

  • A woman and a young boy playing a board game with colorful pieces at a table in a classroom or activity room.

Low Teacher to Child Ratios & Rotating Classes

Teacher to Child ratios are kept below state standards. This enables more opportunities for personalized, hands-on learning and exploration. In addition to guided activities and independent play, children spend part of the day grouped by age level and travel between classrooms and subject area teachers  Subject areas will share a theme, such as the seasons or outer space, and follow curriculum standards.

  • A corner of a children's room with tropical leaf wall decals, a sign that says 'Calming Corner', stuffed animal toys in a mesh storage bin, and shelves with books and toys, viewed through an out-of-focus rainbow-colored element.

    Families & Teachers as Co-Creators

VEER believes that families and educators know best what their children need.  VEER is committed to the training and development of parents and staff to become co-creators of our community and take action to improve quality of life for themselves and their families.
