Age Groups

Every child is on their own development path.

For many families, VEER is the first time a child is spending significant time outside their home and with adults and children outside of their family. VEER is dedicated to walking alongside families during this transition. Wherever your child is in their development, from potty training to reading and every stage in between, your child and family has a place at VEER.

Frogs

Curious, capable learners

Children are learning how to interact with their peers and adults. This involves learning to take turns, navigating big emotions, and building language skills built on empathy and respect. Guided activities encourage independence, help develop gross and fine motor skills and utilize materials like play-dough, sand, and paint to encourage sensory exploration. Children are introduced to letter sounds and math concepts, such as pattern recognition.

Jaguars

Building a language of learning and play

Children are developing their emotional literacy, identifying their own feelings and others’ and learning how to resolve conflict with their peers. Guided activities continue to develop motor skills and encourage sensory exploration, while independent play features more imaginative play. Children develop letter-and-sound recognition and number sense, including number quantity and sequence, addition and subtraction.

Toucans

Confident and Caring

Children are gaining confidence that will help them start Kindergarten ready to learn. They are more consistently articulating how they feel and empathize with others, while developing their ability to problem-solve with their peers.  Children become more independent and take more responsibility for their environment, as they learn to make choices, follow routines, and complete activities on their own.  Guided activites focus on expanding vocabulary and critical thinking, as children strengthen their letter-and-sound and number recognition. Curiosity, creativity, and caring is fostered as children apply what they are learning to the world around them.
