About Us

Valley Early Education Reimagined or “VEER” is a nonprofit organization that launches and operates high-quality, financially-sustainable early education and childcare centers in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

VEER is a private-public partnership between Valley Interfaith Action, area corporate leaders, and the public sector, created to increase access & affordability for families and compensation & career advancement opportunities for educators. VEER demonstrates a transformative model for early education and childcare that can be replicated across Virginia.

What Can Parents Expect in A Day

Age Groups

    GROUP A

    Students ages 2-3 years.  Students must be 2 years of age by the first day of enrollment.

    Students ages 3-4 years. Students must be 3 years of age by August 30th of the enrolled school year

Daily Schedule

  • 7 - 8:30 am

    Arrival, Activity, & Social Time, Snack

    Children take time in the morning to play, socialize with friends and staff, and settle in for a day of learning.

  • 8:30 - 11 am

    Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, & Science Classes

    Children are grouped by age level and travel together between classrooms and teachers every 40 minutes, enabling them opportunities to move, experience different environments, and develop relationships with multiple teachers.

  • 11 am - 3 pm

    Lunch, Outdoor Play, Nap, and Snack

    VEER provides nutritious morning and afternoon snacks.  Children are expected to bring a packed lunch from home.

  • 3 - 5:30 pm

    STEAM Activities, Story Time, Pick Up

    Children continue building on their lessons through hands-on guided activities and independent play, right until they go home!
